Sales Ops & Strategy Internship

Role Overview

As a Sales Intern at Royal Flagship, you’ll join an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company and play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business. You’ll be directly involved in setting up sales calls by engaging with a massive lead list, contributing to the foundation of our sales pipeline. In addition to sales tasks, you’ll be immersed in a dynamic quantitative sales project where you’ll use advanced data tools like Excel and R to analyze and optimize our sales processes, providing real-world insights that directly influence the company's bottom line. This is a chance to work alongside founders and senior business leaders, gaining exposure to strategic decision-making and operational excellence in a high-growth company.

 

Timeline: This internship is available to students looking for a summer opportunity or those who are able to commit time during the academic year. This is a three-month remote program which can be completed in conjunction with the school year.

 

Job Description

 

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Engage with thousands of leads, setting up key sales calls and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Support the sales team by maintaining organized records of client interactions and scheduled meetings.
  • Get hands-on experience with cutting-edge CRM and sales tools.
  • Observe/ participate in the full sales cycle, gaining insight into business development and strategic planning.

 

Quantitative Sales Strategy Project:

  • Apply your analytical skills to help optimize our sales and lead generation process.
  • Use R and Excel to create data-driven models that directly influence key business decisions.
  • Provide actionable insights/ present your findings to management, shaping the future of our sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with a talented team, learning from senior leaders and participating in key strategic meetings.

 

Job Functions

  • Call and engage with prospective clients, setting up meetings and building connections.
  • Help maintain an organized and up-to-date lead database.
  • Gain exposure to sales processes, CRM tools, and key business operations.
  • Work on an impactful quantitative project, learning to apply R and Excel to real-world business data.
  • Analyze sales processes and help develop solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in mentorship sessions with company founders, learning the fundamentals of business growth, sales strategies, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver presentations on your quantitative analysis and contribute ideas that will directly affect company performance.

 

Project Qualifications

 

Education: Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a business, economics, data science, or related program.

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills with a professional phone presence.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage large datasets.
  • Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Experience:

No prior professional experience required, though sales or data analysis experience is a plus.
