Location: Chicago, IL (in office: 300 N Elizabeth St, Suite 410C)
Duration: 6 months to 1 year
Hours: Part-Time (15-25 hours per week Tue-Thur in office)
Compensation: 20-30$ per hour
About Us: Ascent, founded in 2020, is a venture-backed startup developing innovative solutions to improve the situational awareness of high-intensity, small-unit tactics. Our solutions help Incident Commanders improve safety and reduce operational stress on the fire scene by providing real-time localization, biometric data, and alerts.
Role Overview: As we scale, we are looking for a Product Deployment Intern to support our team in launching and optimizing product rollouts. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing company, work directly with leadership, and gain hands-on experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, and product deployment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating product launches and deployments
Work closely with operations, supply chain, sales, and product teams to streamline the deployment process
Support inventory tracking and logistics, ensuring products are delivered on time
Help maintain deployment documentation and provide insights for process improvements
Troubleshoot deployment challenges and work on solutions to improve efficiency
Assist with supplier communication and procurement coordination
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas and learning from experienced professionals
Wear multiple hats in true startup fashion - this is a high-impact, hands-on role with plenty of opportunities to learn!

Who We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in startups, supply chain operations, and process improvement.
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (experience with project management tools is a plus!).
- A self-starter mentality—you’re eager to jump in, learn, and take initiative.
