Spring 2026 Great Lakes Co-op
At Shook, we believe in learning by doing. We put our Co-ops into real-life situations that provide hands-on experience in the construction industry. While working directly with an assigned mentor, our co-ops gain worthwhile exposure to numerous elements within the industry.
Your experience may include:
- Assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers with various day to day responsibilities to assure that construction projects run smoothly, on schedule, and on budget. Duties may include project start-up activities, submittals, RFIs, buy-out, and close-out activities.
- Project estimating tasks such as quantity take-offs, pricing items of work, price and quotation solicitation, bid analysis, good faith effort documentation and compilation of job cost data.
We utilize co-ops in our preconstruction efforts as well as with construction engineering tasks on current educational, healthcare, industrial, and water resource projects. Therefore, co-ops who return for multiple work terms with Shook gain exposure to entirely different construction opportunities.
This job opening is for all students majoring in engineering or construction management as detailed in this job posting.
