Electrical Engineering Building Design Internship/Co-Op

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Building Design Intern to work full-time during the summer in our office in Raleigh. We are open to a co-op agreement if it’s mutually beneficial to the candidate and the company. Our internship program gives Interns hands-on project work experience as well as the opportunity to learn about all facets of the building industry. We are looking for a flexible self-starter who likes to work as an individual, as well as with a team. This is a great opportunity to gain some valuable professional work experience. All interns participate in Epstein’s Internship Program that offers additional learning and presentation opportunities and allows Epstein professionals to further aid our Interns with establishing their professional goals.
General Responsibilities:
- Performing a variety of engineering tasks including aiding in designs for electrical systems in accordance with project requirements and building codes.
- Assisting in the development of plans, renderings and three-dimensional models.
- Working closely with Senior Designers and Project Engineers to develop solutions to problems while working on designs.
Desired Skills and Requirements:
- All candidates must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in electrical engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
- Revit design and modeling skills are preferred.
- Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Prior work and/or professional internship experience are strongly preferred.
Salary and Benefits information:
At the time of this posting, the anticipated pay rate for this position is $18 - $20 per hour commensurate with the experience of the candidate. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the individual’s education, qualifications and experience.
Interns are eligible to participate in Epstein Employee Stock Ownership Plan on the first of the month after hire.
