Network Facilitator II

                                                    Administration Building

 

Work Year/Hours:            12 months - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., including 1 hour lunch                                        (Administration may occasionally adjust                                                                 hours to meet specific needs)

Start Date:                      Immediately

Salary:                            $53,762 Annually

                                     

Function:

                  

Provides wired and wireless network support by maintaining and troubleshooting the district data networks (switches, servers, controllers, AP’s and cabling etc).  Also provides support and maintenance for desktop computers and wireless devices. Job responsibilities require work to be performed at office and classroom sites, necessitating inter-building travel.

 

MinimumQualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or two years related work experience.
  2. Network+ certification or equivalent experience.
  3. Experience with network technologies – troubleshoot and diagnose connection issues, and access problems, etc.
  4. Awareness of Cybersecurity controls.
  5. A+ certification or equivalent experience.
  6. Experience with Windows 10, 11, Mac Operating System, Mac applications, and iOS & Android devices/apps.
  7. Experience with advanced skills using MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access & Office 365.
  8. Experience with installation, upgrade, repair, and maintenance of computer software, hardware, and peripherals, both on stand-alone and network systems.
  9. Experience working with wireless technologies.
  10. Experience importing and exporting data into and out of different supported applications.
  11. Ability to adapt and learn new technologies needed to support staff and
  12. Ability to train and support staff and students in the use of educational technologies.
  13. Initiative in researching and solving problems.
  14. Commitment to maintaining a high level of customer service.
  15. Ability to work effectively with staff and students at their skill levels.
  16. Effective communication, problem solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  17. Capacity to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  18. Excellent interpersonal skills.

  22. Willing to travel between buildings.

  24. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and service ceiling mounted devices.
  25. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable. 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

 

  1. Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems.
  2. Experience providing support as it relates to wired and wireless networks.
  3. Experience with Active Directory (AD) – add/edit users.
  4. Experience with MDM applications.
  5. Experience with imaging and software distribution applications
  6. Experience with Apple Configurator and Mobile Device Management (MDM) applications.
  7. Knowledge of student information systems.
  8. Knowledge of service support ticketing systems.

Sample Duties:

  1. Provide assistance on all district technologies to staff and students as needed.
  2. Troubleshoot and fix: network, printing, wireless, sound, copier, and phone related issues.
  3. Install, upgrade, repair and maintain district computer software, hardware, and peripherals, both on standalone and network systems.
  4. Identify, research, troubleshoot and resolve technology related problems.
  5. All other duties assigned by Director of Technology.
