Position Overview

1. AI & Robotics Convergence Research

• Field: Artificial Intelligence
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge accumulation and structuring, LLM, LVM modeling, and generative AI-based agentic AI services
  • Development of robot perception technology
  • Scheduling optimization

2. Process Engineering Research

• Field: Robotics / Engineering
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Process optimization
  • Wet process / thermal fluid equipment engineering
  • Smart engineering (instrumentation, equipment automation)

3. Energy Materials Research (LiB / NextGen Battery Materials / Recycling)

• Field: Secondary Battery
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Synthesis of FP precursors and LFP
  • Synthesis of cathode materials
  • Recycling: wet processing and graphite purification
  • Electrolyte and solid electrolyte development and evaluation
  • Cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries

4. Hydrogen & Low-Carbon Research

• Field: Advanced Mobility / Clean Energy
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimization of CO₂ capture processes
  • CCU process design and simulation
  • Research on thermochemical hydrogen and ferrohydrogen
  • Electrochemical experiments on water electrolysis and SOEC

5. NextGen Raw Materials Research (Lithium, Critical Minerals)

• Field: Secondary Battery
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Dry processing of critical minerals (nickel, rare earth elements)
  • Development of brine-based lithium extraction processes
  • Development of BP membranes and BPED analysis

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher
• Major: Engineering (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Materials Engineering, etc.)
• Open to all majors with relevant technical background

• Language Requirement:  English proficiency required / Korean proficiency required (must be able to prepare and write documents in Korean)

All positions are based in South Korea:

• Seoul (POSCO Center)
• Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do
• Songdo, Incheon (POSCO Global R&D Center)
