Engineer/Designer - Plastic Injection Mold
Summary:
Mauston Tool is expanding its capabilities and ability to serve a larger market in the plastic injection mold building industry. We are searching for dynamic individuals who desire to join a dedicated and progressive team.
Responsibilities:
The engineer/designer is responsible for managing tooling projects for new products from conception through production start, and is also responsible for all repairs and changes to existing tooling.
The engineer/designer is responsible to stay up to date on new tooling technologies and make recommendations to improve tooling capability, efficiency and cost.
-Attend and contribute to staff and facility meetings
-Trains and guides fellow employees as needed
-Quote and schedule jobs mediating between the mold shop management and the customer
-Conducts the job meetings for the assigned jobs
-Communicates with customers on a regular basis
-Assist in the mold design and design of electrodes as required
-Communicates with the moldmakers to assure the job is on schedule
Qualifications – Education and Experience
AS or BS degree in Engineering or Plastics preferred or equivalent experience. Or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a directly related field.

-Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Strong communication (verbal and written), teamwork and organizational skills
-Understanding of injection mold design
-Understanding machine/manufacturing and tool making
-Knowledge of injection molds
-Efficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft products
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour based upon qualifications.
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
