Industrial Engineer
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
- Performs work measurement and methods analysis using MOST to support process design, new production launch, and cost reduction activities.
- Maintains standard routings, operation rates, and work center details through the engineering change process.
- Ensures routing accuracy from initial input to the end of production, including all engineering changes and process improvement activities.
- Updates standard work charts as required by engineering changes and process improvements, and maintains the latest revision in document control through the engineering change process.
- Assists manufacturing and engineering in understanding methods and rates, as well as in identifying potential causes that lead to low productivity, low utilization of labor or equipment, and/or missed shipments.
- Supports Manufacturing Engineering in the process design and development of new production:
- Calculates line specifications
- Performs work measurement, methods analysis, and ergonomic evaluation of labor
- Identifies and communicates process improvements while supporting their implementation
- Lays out assembly line
- Balances assembly line operators and/or operations with ability to support kaizen activities
- Develops standard work chart
- Ensures new production meets process design and NAL production system requirements prior to start of production
- Initiates and maintains routings
Requirements
Your Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of Industrial Engineering or related manufacturing experience.
Experience in a just-in-time or synchronous-flow manufacturing environment, Certification in Basic Manual MOST, and Knowledge of and/or experience with manufacturing database systems is preferred.
