Collections Internship

The Spring 2025 Collections intern will gain valuable experience working with the collections database, TMS, to improve object catalog records with the goal of improving consistency, findability, and online display. A key task will be adding constituents and creating loaders that are used to add object/media records to TMS in bulk.  In addition, the intern will work with Museum DBA on TMS report development by QA testing draft reports, and work with the Exhibitions Registrars to help with planning for exhibitions and assisting with install and deinstall  as necessary. Through this work the intern will learn how to update database records in accord to institutional standards and gain insight into how the types of database records work together and can be used to better support documentation, internal processes, and online access.
